Dr. Asmamaw Alemu Abtew is an Associate Professor of Forest Socioeconomics at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia, with over 20 years of professional experience in forestry research, higher education, and academic leadership. He earned his PhD in Forest and Nature for Society from Technische Universität Dresden (Germany) and the University of Padua (Italy) through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Degree Program. Dr. Asmamaw has authored and co-authored 70+ peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and technical reports. He has served as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on more than 15 national and internationally funded research projects and has supervised 18 PhD students and 60+ MSc students.
