The University of Gondar’s 30th Research Conference ends successfully

After a jam-packed week of events, the 30th research conference ends with style. The closing ceremony of the conference and Exhibition was attended by Dr. Asmare Dejen, Secretary of the Amhara Universities Forum, Dr. Kassahun Tegenge, delegated President and sitting Academic Vice President and Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer Dr. Binyam Chaklu. Higher administrators and senior executives of UoG and various other institutions, faculty and invited guests were present.

During the program, university professors and students (students from the University of Gondar Community School and other schools) presented their innovative ideas to the audience. After the participants discussed their creations, the creative owners were presented with prizes and an award of recognition. Similarly, recognition awards were also presented to individuals and institutions who have excelled in research, community service activities, and technology transfer, as well as to other partners (Nile Textile, Walia Technology, Huawei Ethiopian Technology, MasterCard Foundation, etc.).

After the competition took place, a general discussion was held led by the senior management of the university. During the discussion, ideas on research and other innovations and technologies were discussed. Recommendations for future research conferences and the way forward were also highly discussed.

Finally, Dr. Kassahun, the Academic Vice President of the University delivered the closing remarks. In his speech, Dr. Kassahun said that the conference was an opportunity for experienced researchers to share their experiences with new young researchers. He concluded by thanking the university community and partners for their significant contribution to the success of the conference.
