5.3. Data Backup and Disaster Recovery Policy

The ICT Directorate is responsible for:

Establishing proper data backup mechanisms for system databases of the University (e.g. SIS),
Implementing ICT disaster recovery plans and mechanisms,
Testing backups periodically to ensure that they are recoverable,
Protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of backups, and
Preparing written procedures to allow the authorized personnel to recover data in the event of an emergency.
