The Scholars Program at the University of Gondar has organized a one week training in sign language.
The Scholars Program at the University of Gondar has organized a one week training in sign language. Faculty from all parts of the University encompassing directors, instructors, admin staff and the likes are taking part to make the University of Gondar a more inclusive institution.

The 7 day comprehensive training is being led by Mr. Tarekeng Asnake who is a lectuerer in the Special Needs department at the University.

This year the Scholars Program has accepted talented youth with disabilities who are studying in various fields.

In addition these competent and able individuals, with varying degrees of disabilities, will be expected to lead their communities and become transformative leaders in the near future. Notwithstanding such training as the one being conducted can only help UoG cater to its wide array of students and Scholars. At the end of the training a certificate of completion of the training will be handed to the participants.
