Work is underway to improve hospital services nationwide
Two years ago, the first phase of preparation was underway at 24 hospitals selected by iCARE and the work is making progress.

Several ministry representatives, including the Federal Ministry of Health, have visited the service improvement project, which is in the process implementation. As a result, representatives of the Ministry of Health, Civil Service, Finance and more than 7 other ministries toured the University of Gondar’s Comprehensive Specialized Referral Hospital current system.

The task force, which was set up to implement the hospital’s new I-care program, identified problems and solutions in order to improve the hospital’s services.
In addition, a discussion session was held at the Science Amba auditorium, where Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn, President of the University of Gondar, gave an opening speech. He thanked the University of Gondar Comprehensive Specialized Hospital for its commitment and the fight and determination on the ongoing crisis in the country. He also thanked the university’s dedicated partners and professionals who have stood by the university during this difficult time. He said he will work closely with the Ministry of Health, Regional Health Bureau, partners and professionals to further improve the service.
