Training on Science and Higher Education Policy conducted at UoG
A Training is being provided on the Science and Higher Education Policy, Strategy and Plan
The University of Gondar’s Science and Higher Education Policy, Strategy and Plan is being presented to the University Council members. The Presentation will take place from March 22-23, 2021 at the Science Amba Auditorium.
Academic Vice President and President delegate, Dr. Kassahun Tegene, who opened the training, said that despite the government’s efforts to expand access to education, high quality and grass roots research activities have not solved the community’s problem. According to Dr. Kassahun, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education has provided training to senior management of the University by formulating policies, strategies and guidelines that are expected to alleviate this implementation problem.
The main purpose of this training is to discuss the developed science and higher education policy, strategy and plans, as well as provide ideas on how to develop and use documents, and how to perform tasks that will be important for academia and the future growth of the country.
