The University of Gondar is ranked number 1 once again

Amongst the first generation universities in the country, the University of Gondar has been ranked the overall top educational institution for the second straight year. Achievements of this kind are rare, but the hard work in the 2009 budget year has made it a reality. The recognition that took place in Asosa, at Ethiopia’s 35th Public Higher Education Institutions Annual Forum was a major testament to the strenuous efforts of Ethiopia’s top university.

The university community and all those who have heard the great news are pleased and excited for Gondar’s flagship institution. It cannot be overlooked that the result took the overall contribution of the university staff, community, partners, stakeholders and friends. Without them being number 1 was not possible. Therefore, a great ‘congratulations’ and ‘a job well done’ is due!
