A national workshop aims to strengthen and scale up postgraduate programs undertake.
A national workshop aims at strengthening and expanding graduate programs held at Science Amba Hall on August 9-10, 2019, in the University of Gondar.
Dr. Asrat Asetedewoyn, the president of the university, officially opened the conference by warm welcoming and appreciating the participants and the organizers. Dr Asrat says such kind of outstanding endeavors and initiatives is tremendously important to boost the excellence of the university. At the event, Dr. Samuel Sahle, Director of the Graduate Program Coordinating Directorate, also delivered a cordial welcome to the participants.

One of the presenters, Dr Bisrat Misganaw, conferred a seminary paper entitle on “improving strategies for action in Postgraduate Programs.” Dr. Kassahun Alemu also reiterated the experience of PHD training in the Institute of Public Health at Gondar University.
Similarly, Dr Breliew Belayneh, presented the experience of graduate program of Bahir dar University. Mr. Gebeyehu Begashaw, an assistant professor of psychology, also conferred another paper entitled “the Western experience of directing and running graduate programs”.

In a similar manner, Dr Fikreyohannes Gedamu reiterated the experience of post graduate run at Haromiya University. Dr Tesfahun Melese, an assistant professor, talked to the Experience of Post Graduate Programs at Monash University. Last but not least, Mr. Molalign Belay, an Assistant Professor of Public Health at UOG, conferred the experience of graduate studying in US and Canada.
Professional and academical discussions were taken place with four parallel sessions. Important ideas and conversations were conferred in the second day of the conference with general audience. Lastly, the conference ends by setting the future actions and plans.
