About the Faculty
Faculty of Informatics is one of the newly faculty found in University of Gondar and it was inaugurated in June, 2016.
The Faculty established with four new fields of studies such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System and Information Science. So the Faculty plays a great roles /responsibilities on the improvement of educational quality in university as well as national level.
Currently, the Faculty has undergraduate and postgraduate programs in regular and extension as well as Sumer bases. Moreover, the Faculty is participated on income generation through continuing education and the staff members are actively participated in research, community’s service, and technology transfer projects.

- Our mission is to contribute to the sustainable socioeconomic development of the country by producing vibrant, compassionate and responsible citizens through societal needs tailored curricula; conducting problem solving research; and strengthening community engagement, and technology transfer.
