
An International Eye Treatment Campaign Continues at UoG
It is known that a nine-member ophthalmology team led by Plaz Morris Harriston provided eye treatment in the Gondar area from February 10, 2023, to February 18, 2023. The medical team started its services in Azezo as well as in the Dabat District. The medical treatment was provided by the University of Gondar Medical Ophthalmology Training Center in cooperation with Operation Ethiopia and HCP Cure Blindness. Today as well the team has also given service to the University of Gondar staff on its main Tewodros Campus.
The eye treatment campaign in the Dabat district was launched by Dr. Asmere and led by Professor Morris. In this medical campaign, 31,273 people received medical services, of which 16,887 were male and 14,386 were female. In addition to this, 18,301 people received cataract surgery.
The medical services will be provided in various areas in Gondar from March 23-30, 2023, and will be provided in the town of Sekota as well.
