Fana Broadcasting Corporate to build Gondar University Community Radio Studio

An agreement to set up a community radio studio at the University of Gondar was signed by the President of the University of Gondar, Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn, and the CEO of Fana Broadcasting Corporate, Mr. Admasu Damtew on November 23, 2023.

On the occasion, Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn explained, “The setting up of a community radio not only contributes to the teaching and learning endeavors at the University of Gondar but also helps us to communicate directly with the community and disseminate information about the community services we provide. It also benefits our students to gain sufficient media-related knowledge and skills.”

On his part, the CEO of Fana Broadcasting Corporate, Ato Admasu Damtew, said, “The corporate would make sure that the community radio studio is built with state-of-the-art technology and that it maintains quality and access for people residing in Gondar and its surroundings.”

Academic Vice President, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, Vice President of Administration, Dean of Social Sciences and the Humanities College, Director of Engineering Services Directorate, Head of Journalism and Communications Department, and Public and International Relations Directorate staff of the University of Gondar were present during the agreement signing ceremony.
