For those who could not follow our 2020 virtual commencement because of the Internet outage

Its always better late than never and in saying this we would like to draw your attention to our virtual graduation commencement which took place on 11 July 2020.

Even though face to face lectures were cut short because of the coronavirus UoG was able to have a graduation ceremony for postgraduate students through virtual and technological means. In addition first degree Students who finished all of their required work were also given the chance to graduate in this year’s virtual commencement.

Even though the Pandemic made this year’s commencement ceremony different the University of Gondar executed a well planned ceremony to make it all the more special for its graduates.

The graduation that took place on July 11th 2020 was also broadcasted live on Amhara television and we can assure our University Community who didn’t have the chance to tune in that it was a beautiful affair!
