6.7. Anonymity Policy
Anonymity is a critical part of human rights, but it is also connected to cyber crimes, such as fraud, identity theft, cyber stalking, bullying, phishing, and trolling. The protection of anonymity is a vital component in protecting both the right to freedom of expression and the right to privacy.
The ICT Directorate provides the option of not identifying who you are or using a pseudonym when it is lawful and practicable to do so. However, it is not possible for the ICT Directorate to deal with a student or employee anonymously or using a pseudonym.
