
Mastercard Foundation Scholars program at KNUST Delegation Visits University of Gondar for Experiential Learning on Disability Inclusion
A delegation from the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) arrived at the University of Gondar on April 21, 2026, for an experiential learning exchange focused on advancing disability inclusion.

The visiting team, representing the counseling unit of the Mastercard Foundations Scholars Program at KNUST, was warmly welcomed by the staff of the University of Gondar’s Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. During the visit, they were given a detailed briefing on the Program’s initiatives, achievements, and ongoing challenges, particularly in supporting students with disabilities and young women facing economic hardship.

As part of the engagement, the delegation held discussions with college deans and department heads to share experiences and explore practical strategies for strengthening inclusive support systems within the Scholars Program and across higher education institutions more broadly.
The visit further reinforces the growing South–South collaboration between the two universities, highlighting a shared commitment to inclusive education and mutual learning.
