The University of Gondar celebrates the opening of it’s renovated O.R rooms

The University of Gondar today on the 20th of June 2019 is celebrating the opening and commencement of it’s renovated Operation Room facility.
The O.R which is found in the compounds of the University hospital has brought together the President of the Amhara region Dr. Ambachew Mekonen, the Mayor of Gondar Dr. Muluken Adane, the President of the University of Gondar Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyen and various dignitaries.
The Operation Room in the near future will have 10 facilities and will be able to do surgery procedures simultaneously. As Dr. Sisay Yifru the CED of the College of Medieine and Health Sciences stated in his opening remarks it has been a long time coming for this development and we have a long way to go to help all of the people of this region with quality health care. He called on the President of the State of Amahra to observe the changes being done in the hospital and to ultimately assist in future affairs by bringing more attention to this region and city hospital in particular.
The O.R will initially have ten rooms in which 5 are presently operational. The remaining five will be ready in the near future. The president of the University of Gondar, Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn, has expressed his delight in the amount of time and energy put Into completing this state of the art facility. It has been mentioned that the equipment used to comprise the rooms are top of the line and are among the best in the country.
