
University of Gondar Celebrates first PhD defense in Management Studies
University of Gondar’s School of Management and Public Administration has achieved a significant milestone by conducting its first-ever PhD defense in Management Studies. As the school head , Dr. Zerihun Kinde said , Birara Bezie, who is a diligent and dedicated student, successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on the effect of leadership styles on organizational commitment: the moderating role of emotional intelligence in the Banking industry, with a focus on the Amhara National Regional state.

Under the guidance of Professor Abebe Eijgu and Dr. Demis Alamirew (Associate Professor), Birara’s extensive research explored the moderating role of emotional intelligence in the case of the Banking industry. The reviewers of the paper, Dr. Dereje T/Mariam (Associate Professor) and Dr. Gedif Tessema (Assistant Professor) and chair person, Dr. Zerihun acknowledged the excellence of his work, resulting in a commendable grade of “Very Good.”
