University of Gondar’s Fourth Journal Receives Ministry of Education’s Accreditation
The University of Gondar has achieved a significant milestone with the accreditation of one of its six journals, the Ethiopian journal of Business Management and Economics (EJBME), by the Ministry of Education this year.
To date, the Ethiopian Ministry of Education has bestowed accreditation to four of the University of Gondar’s journals: the Ethiopian Renaissance Journal of Social Science and Humanities (ERJSSH) in 2020/21, the International Journal of Ethiopian Legal Studies (IJELS) in 2023, the Ethiopian journal of Health and Biomedical Sciences (EJHBS) in 2023, and the Ethiopian Journal of Business Management and Economics (EJBME) in 2024.
The Ethiopian Renaissance Journal of Social Science and Humanities (ERJSSH) was launched in 2014 and is published by the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. It was indexed by SCOPUS from 2011 to 2019 and is also indexed in Google Scholar. The International Journal of Ethiopian Legal Studies (IJELS) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal of the School of Law at the University of Gondar. Since 2015, the journal has been publishing articles and reviews on legal issues of contemporary relevance. The Ethiopian Journal of Health and Biomedical Sciences (EJHBS) is a publication of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. Established in 2008, the journal publishes research on medicine, public health, health sciences, pharmacy and biomedical sciences. The Ethiopian Journal of Business Management and Economics (EJBME) is an academic journal published by the College of Business and Economics. It is a biannual peer-reviewed open access journal that focuses on accounting, business management, economics, finance, marketing management, public administration, tourism & hospitality management, and related issues.
Originally launched in 1990 as ACTIONAID Disability News, the Disability, CBR and Inclusive Development Journal (DCIDJ) is an online journal that publishes research in the field of rehabilitation and disability inclusion. The journal was initially owned by the Liliane Foundation and later transferred to the University of Gondar due to the university’s successful community-based rehabilitation program, established in 2005. This journal has an impact factor of 1.4 and is indexed in Web of Science. The Ethiopian Journal of Natural and Computational Sciences (EJNCS) is University of Gondar’s sixth journal, published by the College of Natural and Computational Sciences. It aims to publish research articles in various scientific disciplines, including biological, biotechnological, chemical, earth, mathematical, physical, sport, statistical, environmental, agricultural, veterinary, technological, and health sciences. Launched in 2021, it has already published four volumes.
