UoG finalizes a partnership with the Teacher’s Education College in Gondar

The Gondar College of Teachers’ Education was established in 1981 as a training center for teachers in the education field. The College is known for producing scholars in the country. Currently though, the College has a certain issue in quality of education, human resource development and other education related problems.
To solve the difficulty, the University of Gondar and the Gondar College of Teachers’ Education have signed an agreement to collaborate on various levels.
The objectives of the agreement were to enhance the quality of education and to help individuals technologically. Thoughts which were raised on the side of Gondar College of Teachers’ Education were related to capacity building, services of the registrar’s office and building standardized class rooms. In the same thoughts were reflected on the side of the University of Gondar. The vital importance of high level education and its quality resonated on both sides. Therefore, both institutions promised to work closely together.
In the agreement, the University of Gondar’s academic vice president Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn and the the Gondar College of Teachers’ Education dean Mr. Sintayhu Negash were the ones who signed the agreement for their respective educational institutions.
The two educational institutions believe that the agreement will be fruitful and they promised to work closely together in the near future.
