UoG is undergoing discussions on its five-year strategic plan performance review and a 10-year draft master plan

The University of Gondar held discussions on the proposed 2015-2019 strategic plan performance and the 10 year master plan (2020 – 2029 ) in the presence of senior, middle and other leaders, including the President of the University, on November 27, 2020 at the Aluminum Building Conference Hall.

Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn, President of the University of Gondar, said in his opening remarks that the 2015-2019 strategic plan was a success, despite the fact that there were many local and national problems last year but the institution has achieved many achievements. One of these great milestones is UoG becoming a National Research University. Dr. Asrat also expressed that the strategic plan that has been prepared for the next ten years is prepared in accordance with “the national plan and the mission and identification of our University.”

In addition UoG’s Information and Plan Directorate Director Mr. Gashaw Neberu took the liberty and initiative to present both strategic plans report for those in attendance. Upon the completion of the report participants got the chance to give suggestions and comments. In summing up the presentation the committee in charge of critiquing the plan and report got the opportunity to answer any lingering issues and questions regarding the work at hand. The 2 days discussions will end on the 27th of November 2020.
