UoG makes Worata Agricultural College a “satellite campus”
A memorandum of understanding was signed on May 19, 2021 for the transfer of Woreta Agricultural College to be a University of Gondar satellite campus. The campus had once been a training ground for agricultural professionals for many years.
The document was signed by Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn, President of our the University of Gondar and Tilahun Baye Dean of Worata Agricultural College. Melaku Alebel, Minister of Trade and Industry of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, State Minister for Urban Development and Construction Fenta Dejen, South Gondar Zone Chief Administrator, Mr. Kelemework Merhite, senior officials of UoG, elders and invited guests attended the event.
UoG is currently in the process of getting things rolling and off the ground to make the satellite campus a success.
