UoG’s Comprehensive Specialized Hospital receives donations
On various occasions it could be observed throughout the years that patriotic citizens at home and abroad contribute to the development of the University of Gondar on all fronts.
One of those patriotic Ethiopians who recently supported the University is Martha G. Selassie, a medical professional living in Washington DC, United States. Martha has been working with alumni from the University of Gondar College of Medicine and Health Sciences in the United States to provide support to the country’s health sector. For instance she has been able to donate medical supplies (more than 80 cartons) to help prevent and deter the Covid-19 virus.
Likewise, Marta has coordinated the Ethiopian Diaspora from abroad and has been able to raise funds to purchase 60 wheelchairs, 39 crutches and 10 walkers from the United States of America. The CEO of the University of Gondar’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences (Vice President) Dr. Ashenafi Tazebew was there to receive the donations on the 16th of December 2020.
